A weird question. Odd pottery resembling produce seems to be pretty common. Are they a cultural thing or anything like that? Would anyone here know?

I adore Beet Poot and friends. But I also almost feel like he has far too many friends for it to be an accident.

The fruit and vegetable face pots we’re obsessed with are midcentury pieces from Unique Pottery and SylvaC of the UK. They pop up on ebay/etsy a lot!
